What are the rockabilly hairstyles? Rockabilly is a genre of music which originally came from rock and roll, and hillbilly. Rockabilly fans have their favorite hair- pompadour hair. The rockabilly hairstyle was first popularized in the 1940s. In the eighties the expression “Rockabilly” has became very popular. Today Gwen Stefani and other stars tap into rockabilly culture with cool hairdos. You can make this hairstyle by taking a strip of hair in the top front, setting it curly in the forehead, and keeping sideburns long slicked back.
Men rockabilly hairstyles – Short sides and slightly longer back with sufficient length on top and in front. Or the flattop style – with the top of the head cut to approximately one inch and styled with pomade or wax to give an even plane or spiking ends.
Women rockabilly style – A moderate-length, layered style. It is always curly. Another style is a longer style and is generally created with blunt cut fringe across the forehead .This style has soft waves along the length, while the bangs are straight and smooth.
